Bring the Spirit of Thanksgiving into the Conference Room

While it is Thanksgiving week, meetings are still pretty inevitable. Thankfully, you can pull up your co-workers' spirits with a choice of Thanksgiving-inspired delights that not only taste great, but also help them keep focused on the discussion.

From herb-roasted turkey to a pecan-crusted sweet potato pie, there are lots of traditional treats to choose from. However, not all of these options are ideal for a meeting. On that note, here are a couple of food suggestions for your meeting this Thanksgiving week:

Turkey with a twist. Turkey is pretty much the cornerstone of the whole Thanksgiving celebration, but it's not really wise to serve a whole bird at a meeting. After all, your discussion might turn into something about who gets the bigger slice rather than about the week's sales! This doesn’t mean you can't have your share of this delectable Thanksgiving staple. Check out some alternative ways of serving turkey that some restaurants have to offer; examples include hand-carved roasted turkey platters and sandwiches. With these uncomplicated turkey meals, you can rest assured the meal you serve doesn’t overshadow the point of the meeting.

Sugar and spice is everything nice. After the delicious turkey, some traditional Thanksgiving desserts are good for sating the sweet tooth with a mix of just the right sweetness and tongue-tingling spice. Whether you want to serve a classic pumpkin pie, a red velvet cake, or candied yams, you won't run out of options from your favorite restaurants.

Just keep in mind not to go crazy and order a whole set of cakes and pies; you wouldn’t want your meeting attendees sugar crashing on you while you discuss your sales projections.
