What’s the Difference between
Office Food Delivery and Office Catering?
When
it comes time to order lunch for the office, you might find that you have more
options available to you than just egg salad sandwiches and soup. And one of
the things that you might notice first is that food for the office seems to
fall into two different categories: office food delivery (https://www.rotr.com/Landing.aspx?id=LLIT4923ll), and office catering (https://www.rotr.com/Landing.aspx?id=YFJP9440yf.) So what’s the
difference, and which one is right for your office?
The
only difference between the two different types of food delivery (https://www.rotr.com/) is that with delivery
someone will drop the food off and leave. It will be up to you to distribute
it, set it up, and possibly even set up the conference room if things like a
buffet need to be laid out. You will also usually be responsible for making
sure that things like utensils, condiments, and napkins are in place, although
many restaurants are starting to include these items with delivery orders more
and more.
With
catering however, everything you need to do is done after you place the call
and order the food. Someone will arrive with the food, set it up for you, serve
it, and even replenish the supplies should they get low during the event,
whether it’s an office Christmas party or a working lunch. When everyone’s
done, the catering company will pack up, clean up, and leave, and you won’t
ever be able to tell that they were even there – except that you’ll have that
full belly and sweet taste on your lips still!
The
type of food service you will need will depend on how involved you can be with
the food, as well as what the office budget is - catering also tends to be the
more expensive option of the two.
